Russell Frank
Montpelier, Vermont, United States
Russell started curling in 2005 in an arena facility. He has 15 years experience helping with the curling ice in an arena facility and a number of dedicated ice clubs. He has a CCA Level II Ice Technician Certificate, and has been a member of the ice crew at number of national and international events. Prior to retiring he worked in healthcare, where he was involved in a number of training and quality improvement projects.
Pete Della Pelle
Durham, North Carolina, United States
Pete has been curling and helping with the ice for 20 years. He holds a CCA Level II Ice Technician Certificate and has been a member of the ice crew at national and international events. Before retiring he was responsible for the development and implementation of training and user manuals for several software companies.
Kevin Madsen
New London, Minnesota, United States
Kevin was an arena manager for 18 years, and became involved with curling in 2004. He has a CCA Level II Ice Technician Certificate, has been a member of the ice crews at numerous national and international events, and the lead ice maker at a number of national events. He has been conducting training on curling ice for arena facility staff and arena club volunteers since 2011.
Steve Kerr
Kinross, Scotland, United Kingdom
Started ice making in 1985 at the old Stirling rink a 6 sheet rink that had curling through the week and skating, ice hockey, and speed skating on the weekend. In 1992 Steve moved to Kinross Curling Club as Ice Master responsible for all the curling and ice making activities. He has a WCF Level II Ice Technician Certificate. Around 2000 John Minnaar, Andy McGlynn and Steve formed the Scottish Curling Ice Group. Steve retired as an ice maker a couple of years ago.
Ian MacAulay
Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
Ian got his first taste of ice making in PEI as a volunteer in 1983. Since 1987 he has been making ice in various clubs in the Ottawa area. He has a CCA Level IV Ice Technician Certificate and has been the member of the ice crew at a number of national and international events. He served as the Ottawa area CurlOn Ice Team Representative for 20 years.
