Welcome to the
Curling Ice Quality Improvement Project

“The game of curling is a very fair game, with clear rules, proper sportsmanship and traditional etiquette. If a game is lost because the opposition played better, a handshake will be offered and all will be well. If a game has been lost because of poor ice that behaved unfairly, then there is no feeling of competition or supremacy, because curlers should play against each other not against the ice. When a perfect last stone succeeds through luck on bad ice there will be no agreement and no sense of fairness. The ice will have failed the essence of the game of curling.”
